Benjamin Decoin was born into a family of artists, one foot in Paris and the other in salt water. Passionate very early by the image, he begins by writing in the specialized cinema press. At the same time he travels, often at sea, bringing back texts and photos. He then moves from the animated image to the still image and his interest for the human brings him to photograph personalities, artists or actors. He is now based in Paris. He works in his studio or abroad, and, at the same time, continues to sail on all the seas and boats he encounters. From these navigations, besides numerous reports in the press, several books were born. In particular, we will remember a book in 2015 on the Belem three-master for his 120 years and, very recently, a book on the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle.
