Listening to this music, Aomamé imagined the winds which swept without obstacle the plains of Bohemia and let his thoughts wander about History. 1926, it was the death of the emperor Taishô, the beginning of a new era, the 'Shôwa era. In Japan too, it would be the beginning of a dark and terrible era. Modernism and democracy had played their brief interlude. This one finished, fascism would impose its law ...
